Psycho-social impact of malocclusion in patients seeking orthodontic treatment

Background: The present study was conducted for assessing Psycho-social effects of malocclusion in patients seeking orthodontic treatment. Materials & methods: 30 subjects treatment were enrolled the study. All pre-informed about protocol. Study consisted collection information psychosocial assessment using a questionnaire and clinical examination malocclusion. Data regarding impact dental aesthetics collected Psychosocial Impact Dental Aesthetics Questionnaire. responses recorded by examiner himself appropriate codes. oral procedures carried out sterile gloves, mouth mirror, tweezer probe. Results: Out children examined, there 63.33% (19) males 36.67% females. mean age examined 13.96 years. On whole, self-confidence score differed significantly among both male female across groups. Overall, social did not differ Conclusion: have significant on aspects human life.
